Northeast Kidney Foundation names Tyler King Chairman of the Board
The Northeast Kidney Foundation, a voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing kidney disease and enhancing the lives of all those affected, has named Tyler King as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. King joined the Board of Directors in 2013.
Formed in 1972 as a philanthropic gift of Edwin and Rhoda Sperber, the Foundation provides services to patients, family members, the general public and clinical and academic professionals throughout the Northeast. The mission of the Northeast Kidney Foundation is to improve the quality of life of those affected by kidney disease and related conditions through early identification, intervention, prevention and support services; to promote organ donation; and to empower those we serve to be an effective voice for better healthcare at the local, state and federal levels.
“It is truly an honor to represent an organization that does so much good for so many people in need,” said Tyler King. “Over 26 million Americans suffer from chronic kidney disease (CKD), including 1.5 million New Yorkers. Being a part of the Northeast Kidney Foundation gives me an opportunity to make a difference as we make strides in the battle against kidney disease.”
Tyler King is currently General Manager at Equinox Companies based in Colonie, New York, which has developed some of the most prestigious construction projects in the Northeast Region. Tyler is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire who spent 8 years on the west coast in Southern California before returning to the Capital region to learn the family business. Under the expert tutelage of his father, J. Eric King, President of Equinox Companies, Tyler’s focus and enthusiasm ensures Equinox’s success will continue to grow throughout the next generation.
